Horse drawn hearse and mourning carriage
In these days of motor vehicles, a horse drawn hearse remains a symbol of the most traditional style of funeral. It is a style that is returning to popularity and is seen as a very fitting tribute. We use a family owned carriage master with over 100 years of experience to provide our glass sided hearse and a pair, or team, of four Belgian Blacks or Greys (white horses). Environmentally-friendly coffins
You can chose between a wide range of coffins which include environmentally-friendly coffins in bamboo or wicker and caskets for cremated remains. The environmentally-friendly coffins are produced in China using traditional skills and from a sustainable resource of bamboo. They are transported by sea to the UK, "Russian-doll-style" - inside each other, maximising space thus minimising transport and fuel costs.
Printing and personalised keepsakes
We can provide a comprehensive printing service including Order of Service Books and Books of Condolence. We can arrange for personalised coffins, caskets and keepsakes.
White doves
White doves symbolise love, hope and peace. The can be released during the funeral service or at the graveside and help to make the memorial special.
Memorials
We provide a complete memorial service offering a fine selection of memorials. We can advise on cemetery and churchyard regulations and help you to select the type of stone best suited to the style of memorial you have chosen. Memorials can be personalised by our stonemason and photo plaques can be added either to new or existing memorials. Additional inscriptions and restoration can also be carried out, and we will be please to give you an estimate. Floral tributes and flower arrangements
You are welcome to choose your floral tributes from the albums supplied by the local florists whom we are happy to recommend. We can order on your behalf, or we can arrange for one of the florists to meet you here at our premises to discuss your requirements. Catering
At your home or other chosen venue. The cater we recommend is locally based and would be pleased to meet with you to discuss menus and costs. We have a selection of sample menus for your inspection and can help you find a suitable venue should you require assistance.
Musicians, piper and jazz band
Music is one way of making a funeral service a very personal occasion. You may wish to consider having a soloist or a group of musicians to play a piece of music that has a special meaning to your and your family during the service. A jazz band, or traditional piper, could meet you at the church and Irish or Scottish laments could be played at the cemetery.
